As every year, summer brings a series of special activities to the Codelearn online platform. From July 1 to July 31, we’ll be celebrating the Summer Go League!

Throughout the month, you’ll find a new “Summer Go League” tab in the platform’s rankings section, where you can track all the Go points earned during July. At the end of the month, the top 20 players will receive a special badge and 1,000 bonus points as a reward. In addition, everyone who participates before July 22 will be entered into a drawing to win several collector’s edition Go sets!

We’ll also be hosting an ONLINE GO TOURNAMENT on the platform!

The tournament will begin with a qualifying stage running from July 6 to July 19. The 48 players who earn the most Go points during this period will advance to the league stage.

The league stage will consist of 21 rounds spread over 7 days. From July 22 to July 28, all qualified players will play three games per day. On weekdays, games will begin at 7:30 PM, 7:45 PM, and 8:00 PM. On weekends, games will begin at 12:00 PM, 12:15 PM, and 12:30 PM.

Games will be played on a 9×9 board, with a 2-minute main time per player and a 10-second increment per move.

Once the league stage concludes, the top 8 players will advance to the knockout finals, which will take place on July 30. The quarterfinals will begin at 7:30 PM, the semifinals at 7:45 PM, and the championship match at 8:00 PM.

What happens if there’s a tie?

If a tie occurs at any stage of the competition, it will be broken using the following criteria, in order:

1) Total Go points earned in the Summer Go League rankings.
2) Total lifetime Go points.

    What can I win?

All four semifinalists will receive 1,000 bonus points. The runner-up will receive an additional 2,000 points, and the tournament champion will receive 3,000 points.
