New adventure on the platform: Go, the Chinese chess
This year’s Summer League is about Go, an ancient game that has its origins in China, it became really popular in Japan and the rest of Asian countries and it is considered the equivalent of chess in the East.

PISA 2021 will test computational thinking
Mathematical competences will be the main subject assessed in PISA 2021 and for the first time these tests will include questions to assess students’ computational thinking. PISA is a program promoted by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) that every three years assesses students who complete compulsory education in participating countries with the aim of knowing the effectiveness of these countries educational systems when preparing their students to face their future.

Coding bootcamps and Codelearn, two different ways to learn to code
Coding bootcamps are intensive courses that last a few weeks and get their students ready to enter the working world and the programming field by acquiring specific knowledge. Each bootcamp has a different duration, some of them are part time and some others are full time studies, there are some courses that are designed to learn programming from scratch and some others require a certain level of knowledge to access the course. Thus, every programming bootcamps is dedicated to a specific subject and requires a different time of dedication, but they all are characterized by being intensive courses following a highly concentrated agenda.

Karel Challenge 2020: join our coding competition and win an Oculus Quest or a Nintendo Switch Lite
The Karel Challenge is a game / e-sport that tests participants’ speed, strategy and correctness when programming. Its main goal is to spread the importance of programming and computational thinking among children and young people and to do so in a fun and exciting way. Regarding Codelearn students, only those who have finished Chapter 2 of Karel’s adventure can participate, but you can also sign up for the competition although you are not a student of our programming extracurricular activity – just keep in mind that you need some coding skills.
