In this robotics course children will work as a team to build and program Edison robots, which are a powerful educational tool.
Students will be introduced to the world of mechanics, computer science and electronics in a playful way, which may encourage them to study more eagerly STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). In addition, we will work on the dynamics and roles which will be expected from future college students and workers: the ability to work in a team, imagination, creativity and communication.
In this course, students will learn to:
– Know the basic components of a robot.
– Work with visual programming environments (scratch, edpy, edscratch, edblocks, etc.).
– Know the programming environment of Edison robots and write simple programs.
